Polski Holding Nieruchomości will act as the project management company for the construction of the Moxy hotel next to Poznań-Ławica Airport. Selected by Chopin Airport Development for its investment project in Poznań, the Moxy brand is Marriott’s answer to the needs of Generation Y. The agreement between Chopin Airport Development and Polski Holding Nieruchomości was signed during the Kongres 590 event.

Polski Holding Nieruchomości submitted the winning bid to act as the project management company for Chopin Airport Development’s new project: the construction of a Moxy hotel (the Moxy brand is owned by Marriott). “The company made the best bid for the construction of the Moxy hotel in Poznań,” said Gheorghe Marian Cristescu, President of Chopin Airport Development. “PHN is an experienced investor, so the collaboration gives us the assurance that all work will be carried out smoothly and as scheduled in the contracts. In addition, we will be able to take on new challenges in the future together.”

“Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A. is introducing and developing new services, including project management and property development project execution services for other businesses. By doing so, we are fulfilling another strategic assumption of the PHN Group 2017–2023 Strategy, which consists in utilizing our in-house competence to deliver services on the real estate market. As you may know, last year we established a very successful relationship with Enea S.A. under which PHN S.A. delivers real estate consulting services to Enea S.A. We are convinced that as part of our partnership with Chopin Airport Development, we will deliver top-quality solutions by combining PHN Group’s in-house expertise with specific strategies tailored to our Partner’s needs,” said Maciej Jankiewicz, President of the Management Board of Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A.

Polski Holding Nieruchomości is one of the largest companies in the commercial property sector in Poland in terms of the market value of its portfolio, which includes over 140 property assets with an estimated value of PLN 2.5 billion. PHN’s operations are focused in Warsaw and the major regional cities, including Łódź, Poznań, Wrocław and the Tri-City area. The company has long experience in the office, commerce, and logistics sectors that spans both property management and investment project implementation. PHN implements state-of-the-art commercial projects both on its own and in cooperation with experienced and renowned partners. The Company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since February 2013.

“We chose the Moxy brand because we believe it is a good fit for Poznań, a city of innovation that welcomes young people. We could not have imagined a better location, close to both the airport and local business, commercial and tourist facilities,” said Gheorghe Marian Cristescu. “The construction of the Moxy hotel next to Poznań’s airport is consistent with the Company’s strategic objectives,” he added. “We are glad that this investment strengthens our presence at Polish airports.”

The planned hotel will offer 120 rooms plus a restaurant, conference room and a car park for 84 vehicles. Construction is set to commence in the first quarter of 2018, and the hotel is expected to open in 2019. Design-oriented, fun and affordable, the Moxy brand is Marriott’s answer to the needs of Generation Y. Moxy hotels offer superfast Wi-Fi, a 24/7 bar, board games, snacks, energetic music and large-screen TVs in all rooms for easy access to online content and games. The hotel’s team not only provides appropriate service, but also creates the hotel’s ambience and establishes its authenticity in the eyes of the guests. The target audience are people born between 1980 and 1999, who grew up playing computer games and have never known a world without the Internet. In 2030, there will be around 78 million of them, but they already are an important segment of the business traveler community. For them, work is a source of inspiration and an opportunity to establish new relationships and friendships. When traveling, be it for business or leisure, they look for ways to have fun and enjoy an authentic local experience.
