PHN unveils its ESG Strategy for 2025-2030

Monday, December 8, 2025 - 09:40

Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A. is adopting an ESG Strategy for 2025-2030, which includes 5 pillars and 38 ambitious goals that set a new standard for the Group’s responsible development. The ESG Strategy implements comprehensive changes in environmental, social and corporate areas, integrating sustainability principles into key business processes.

In its role as integrator of the broad value chain implemented by PHN Group, PHN has developed the ESG Strategy as a coherent model to address the key environmental, social and governance challenges facing the industry. The document organizes PHN Group’s approach to sustainability, giving it a clear structure based on the five areas that have the greatest impact on PHN Group’s business.

The five pillars identified as a result include combating climate change, protecting resources and the natural environment, ensuring a safe work environment, promoting responsible investment and embedding ESG in management processes. This model will allow PHN Group to operate effectively amid dynamically changing expectations of the market, regulators and real estate users.

“For us, the ESG Strategy is more than a set of measures – it is an extension of our vision of PHN as a real estate integrator with a responsible and modern approach to business operations close to the natural environment. We seek to create space for everything and everyone that matters: for tenants, local communities and our partners. I believe that thanks to the goals we have set for ourselves, we will raise the standards of quality and responsibility throughout the Group, while at the same time strengthening our position in the market and building a competitive advantage based on trust and long-term value,” said Wieslaw Malicki, President of the Management Board at Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A.

The strategy responds to the growing expectations of customers and business partners, as well as dynamic regulatory changes. A baseline analysis covering emissions, resource consumption, quality of the work environment and management standards has accurately identified 38 targets that define PHN Group’s practical operations for the coming years.

“We have translated PHN’s vision and mission into actions that have a real impact on how we design, build and manage our portfolio. We are introducing certification of all new investment projects, developing “green leases” and strengthening a culture of safety and openness. We want ESG to be visible in everyday decisions – not as an obligation, but as a standard that simply pays off, builds our credibility and becomes a natural part of the mindset across PHN Group,” stresses Grzegorz Grotek, PHN’s Management Board Member for Finance.

In the “Tackling Climate Change” pillar, PHN targets a reduction in operational greenhouse gas emissions in Scope 1, 2 and 3 from its building portfolio of at least 49.6% per sq. m. by 2030 compared to 2024 levels, assessed using the market-based method. The Group will develop renewable energy sources, including launching its own photovoltaic farm in 2027. The “Protection of Natural Resources and of the Environment” pillar focuses on resource efficiency and meaningful investment design. By 2030, at least 70% of construction waste is to be recycled or recovered. PHN Group will also actively promote biodiversity at project sites. In the social area, PHN is strengthening a culture of safety, transparency and well-being. A key goal is to maintain zero fatal and serious accidents across the PHN Group. In the “Responsibility-Based Investment” pillar, PHN Group assumes that from 2026 all new investments will undergo environmental certification, and 100% of projects will be analyzed for compliance with the EU Taxonomy. The fifth pillar – “Integration of ESG into Management Processes” – includes, among other things, the implementation of an integrated ESG risk management system by the end of 2026.

The ESG Strategy is becoming an integral part of PHN’s governance model and will be implemented based on measurable indicators and transparent reporting. This will ensure consistency across PHN Group and predictability of results in future years. Looking ahead to 2030, PHN will be an organization that is modern, responsible, close to nature and using innovative solutions – creating spaces where modernity meets responsibility for the benefit of people, the environment and the future.
