Work to remove asbestos-containing materials from the INTRACO building at ul. Stawki 2 in Warsaw has been completed. All asbestos-containing products in the building have been dismantled and removed, and INTRACO is now completely free of asbestos-containing products.
On September 14, the contractor notified the State District Sanitary Inspector, the District Building Supervision Inspector and the District Labour Inspectorate that the dismantling of asbestos-containing materials from the INTRACO building had been completed. On September 16, an inspection was conducted by the State District Sanitary Inspector, which confirmed that the work related to the dismantling and removal of asbestos had been completed. Neither this inspection nor the previous ones revealed any irregularities, which proves that the work was carried out properly.
The entire asbestos removal process was carried out efficiently and professionally, in accordance with the required procedures and the highest safety standards at every stage. Throughout the duration of the project, work progress was also subject to ongoing supervision by competent authorities. A total of ten inspections were conducted, none of which revealed any irregularities in the ongoing work.
“Removing all asbestos from INTRACO was one of the most important aspects of the work we carried out. From the very beginning, we have placed special emphasis on the safety of our employees, the residents of neighboring buildings, and the area surrounding the project. The results of the inspections, including the final inspection by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station, confirm that the entire process was conducted properly, as no irregularities were found," says Nina Domińczak, Director of the Investment Implementation Office at Polski Holding Nieruchomości S.A.
The dismantling of asbestos-containing products was carried out by a specialized contractor, in accordance with the procedures established for this type of work. The removed materials were properly secured and sent for disposal in accordance with applicable regulations.
The completion of the work means that the INTRACO building is now completely free of any products containing asbestos. This marks the end of one of the key and most demanding phases of the works conducted at the facility.
